We'd like to introduce you our region - Eastern Kazakhstan. Reaching on one thousand kilometers from the east to the West and on 700 kilometers from the north to the south, it occupies the area of about 280 thousand square kilometers.

Locating at the interfaces between the borders of Kazakhstan, Russia, China and Mongolia, our region has a variety of the Asian deserts as well as the Siberian taiga. Rich in ores, wood and rivers, fish, honey, medicinal grasses, with outstanding beauty, it since ancient times has attracted men of business. There are the largest deposits of gold and polymetals on our territory. Coal is extracted. Stocks of color and decorative stones are huge. On fields of the region good harvests of wheat, sunflower, buckwheat are gathered. On extensive pastures herds of sheep, cows, herds of horses tend. In the Altai mountains there are one of the world's largest facilities with marals and spotty deer. In fresh-water "seas" Zaysan, Alakol and Sasykol are caught hundreds tons of fish.

Our region has unique opportunities for tourists. Due to the geographical and political peculiarities, the large territories remained inaccessible and ecologically pure. The territory of the Eastern Kazakhstan is rich in a spectrum of natural landscapes: desert, steppe, taiga, mountains, rivers, lakes.

For climbers and mountain tourists - travel across Altai with its sacred two picks Belukha, the highest tops of Altai and Siberia (4506) not so knowning among climbers and mountain tourists as the Himalayas or Pamir. But here you can mountaineer on the Belukha from the southern part "closed" earlier for foreigners. And the magnificent panorama opening from the highest point of region is a magnificent gift.

A tour can be done by all family. It is for people with different physical preparation. Since August we can put hunting for blackcock. Then the time of travel increases.

For fans of horse tourism we offer you to take horses of local breed Jabe in the eastern part of the Kazakhstan Altai within the frontier zone of the former USSR, Mongolia and China, in one of the most picturesque and deserted places not only in the Union, but also, the world in opinion of many researchers-geographers. At desire it is possible to risk to pass through absolutely wild places, on maral's tracks.
For bicycle riders, we suggest you to make a several days long fascinating travel across the Altai. Having begun from tops sparkling with eternal snows, you promptly will rush downwards on ancient ways of nomads-Asians, by mountain lakes and rivers, through the Alpine meadows and taiga, by the greatest high-mountainous lake Markakol to lake-sea Zaysan and sands Aygirkum at the Black Irtysh. You are waited with excellent fishing with fishing tackle and spinning. Remember: on Altai nobody went by mountain bicycles!

Rafting for fans of various level of preparation. On the territory of Altai there are a lot of large and small rivers springing from snow mountains. You can choose as long (more than 250 km), and short routes of various complexity. Valleys of the rivers are very picturesque, the rivers is full of fish of salmon. At the banks of the rivers it is a lot of berry, mushrooms, wild animals. There are apiaries with the well-known refined Altay honey.

For fishermen, wishing to catch a ten-kilogram pike in cane channels of the Black Irtysh, or "to trick" in the mountain rivers and high-mountainous lakes a fish, we offer fishing tours. And all this - in exotic and wild krais. On horses, steam-ship or boat.

Religious tours will be interesting for Krishnas and Buddhists. In fact Belukha, on belief of ancient is the country of Shambhala gods where Buddha Gutanama made the pilgrimage. And the power bridge connecting the Earth through the Everest and the Belukha with Space passes through it.

The region has unique opportunities for tourists. At the same time, in our opinion, it isn't perfect, today potential opportunities of this branch are used maximum on 10-15 % so that some changes are required. At present the regional development program of this branch is developed and approved, there is an inventory of recreation zones for further development of general plans of their building. It is planned to open new and develop existing tourist routes at the Belukha, Markakol lake, Zaysan, medical-improving natural sources, reserves and others.

From April, 20 till April 22, 2006 in Novosibirsk city international exhibition with participation of director of the department of business and industry Provkin A.I., chief of the department on tourism development Snegiryov Т.V. and workers of "Empire of tourism" LTD. It is one of large exhibitions in Siberia, and due to the frontier cooperation of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation participation in the given forum is a fine opportunity to present a tourist product and come into new contacts.

Within the exhibition VKO experts took part in official ceremony of exhibition opening, in press conference with workers of Federal Agency on tourism of the Russian Federation and Administration of Novosibirsk region, in conference "Investment potential of Siberia" and presentations of leading tour operators.

East Kazakhstan presented all spectrum of tourist services: trekking, rafting, bicycle and horse riding, fishing, alptours, improving tours: rest in guest houses and recreation departments, panto-treatment, sanatorium treatment, camping, beach tourism.
