Center for Attracting Investors and Promoting Investment will be open in East Kazakhstan region in September

Akim of East Kazakhstan region Danial Akhmetov told in details about this at the meeting with the regional active members to discuss the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev, to the People of Kazakhstan.

The opening of this specialized center will create conditions for “point” support of each investment project. 14 projects worth KZT 1.1 billion have already been approved under the soft loans program in the production of food, furniture, building materials, light industry and tourism.

In his first Address, the Head of State gave instructions to solve problems related to "Intensive Development and Inclusive Economy". The task was set to carry out the necessary structural changes in the economy and ensure annual sustainable growth of at least 5%.

“Within the framework of the President’s order to abandon the so-called mentality of the commodity economy, work will continue on the development of export-oriented, science-intensive, innovative and popular industries,” Danial Akhmetov said.

To date, in the framework of the Target Scientific and Technical Program, D.Serikbayev EKSTU conducts the joint work with leading industrial enterprises of the region for the implementation of research projects and development projects. All of them are aimed at the creation of new industries, high-tech products for medicine and the oil and gas industry.

Since 2010, 73 projects of the Entrepreneurship Support Map have been implemented in the region, totaling KZT1.3 trillion, with the creation of more than 15,000 jobs. This year, 4 projects in the amount of KZT26.4 billion with the creation of 164 jobs are under completion.

Until 2022, it is planned to launch 22 projects with the investment volume of KZT551 billion, and the creation of 6.400 jobs.

The priority task of the state agencies in the region is to intensify efforts to attract foreign direct investment.
